Dubai is set to reap over AED235 billion ($63.98 billion) in cumulative economic gains from artificial intelligence by 2030, according to the newly released Dubai State of AI Report. The forecast underscores the city’s rising influence as a driver of digital transformation in the UAE and supports the national target of AI contributing up to 14% of GDP by decade’s end.

Unveiled jointly by Digital Dubai and the Dubai Future Foundation, the report highlights how AI is already enhancing public services — from early disease detection and faster emergency response to personalized citizen engagement and proactive healthcare planning.

“Dubai, through its pioneering efforts, is setting new global standards for the ethical and impactful integration of artificial intelligence,” says Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications.

Alongside the report, Dubai also launched its AI Policy, a framework born out of the AI Retreat at Dubai AI Week 2024. The policy focuses on ethical, scalable, and transparent AI deployment, anchored in principles like explainability, interoperability, and human-centric design.

The report analyzed more than 100 high-impact AI use cases already deployed or in progress across sectors including healthcare, finance, urban planning, mobility and government operations. These examples reflect the maturity of Dubai’s AI integration and its ambition to become the most citizen-centric digital city in the world.

“Artificial intelligence is not a future concept—it is an everyday force powering our decision-making,” says Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai.

Looking ahead, Dubai’s AI vision through 2035 includes predictive citywide government services, globally aligned AI governance, eco-conscious digital infrastructure, and a robust AI innovation ecosystem built on public-private collaboration.
