Accenture Federal Services has been awarded a potential five-year, $821 million task order to provide core integration support for the Department of Defense’s Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) War Data Platform (WDP), according to a DefenseScoop report.

WDP is designed to expand the core data integration capabilities of Advana, the Defense Department’s enterprise data and analytics platform. It provides standardized access to high-quality data, enabling the rapid development and integration of artificial intelligence, including emerging agentic AI applications, across the department.

The award follows a January directive from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to transform Advana into a broader enterprise platform capable of supporting warfighting, intelligence and business missions.

“This transformation of Advana into a modernized War Data Platform will enable us to execute with the pace and agility required, capitalizing on the strong data foundation Advana has built,” Hegseth said at the time.

The modernization effort also seeks to improve financial auditability and operational efficiency. Alongside WDP, the initiative includes Advana for Financial Management and WDP Application Services, both intended to support AI-enabled modernization and migration of existing applications to the new architecture. The contract was awarded through the General Services Administration’s Alliant 2 vehicle after a competition involving five vendors.
