SMBC has appointed Donna Hart as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for its Americas Division. Hart, a veteran leader with over 30 years of experience, previously served as CISO at Ally Financial. In her new role as Managing Director, she will oversee cybersecurity strategy and collaborate with global leaders to build resilient security programs and manage complex risk environments across the Americas platform.

CDO Magazine is pleased to welcome Arun Nandi, Chief Data & AI Officer at Carrier, to our Global Board. Nandi is a visionary executive who has driven over $500M in AI-led business impact throughout his career. At Carrier, he leads a global team delivering significant annual EBIT through data and AI-driven initiatives. He is recognized as a Top 100 Influential Leader in AI and is a frequent keynote speaker on enterprise digital transformation.

South Korean game developer Krafton has appointed Kang-wook Lee as its inaugural Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer. Lee, who previously headed the company’s AI division and serves as a professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, will oversee Krafton’s medium- and long-term AI roadmap. His leadership will focus on advancing “AI for gaming” to enhance player experiences and streamline game development processes.

Pacific Life has named Bin Mu as Chief Data Officer to lead the organization into the AI era. Mu joins the life insurance and retirement solutions provider after a successful tenure as Chief Data Officer at Adobe, where he established an AI-first data strategy and an enterprise-wide AI-ready data hub. His extensive background also includes senior data leadership roles at Brighthouse Financial, MetLife, and Cigna Healthcare.

Alight Solutions has welcomed Shawn Tumanov as Head of AI Governance to support its transformation into an AI-first, data-centric organization. Tumanov, a member of the CDO Magazine Global Board, brings a “Trust by Design” philosophy to the role. With a career spanning the OCC, GEICO, and Meta, he specializes in building pragmatic governance frameworks that align AI innovation with financial integrity and regulatory standards.

Unilever has elevated Reema Jain to Chief Information Officer (CIO) to accelerate the company’s technology-driven transformation. Jain brings over 20 years of experience in digital strategy and enterprise architecture. In her new role, she will focus on how AI and technology can power the business and create impact at scale, drawing on her past leadership as Chief Digital Officer at Vodafone Idea and CIDO at Hero MotoCorp.
