For the week of February 23, highlighted in this edition, we feature key leadership updates at Equifax, Roche, and Wells Fargo, alongside several other notable appointments recently spotlighted on CDO Magazine.

Equifax USIS has appointed Arun Gupta as Senior Vice President and Chief Data Officer. Gupta will lead the USIS Data Organization, overseeing strategic investments in alternative, consumer, and commercial data platforms. With 25 years of experience, including leadership roles at Capital One and Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), Gupta is tasked with turning complex data assets into strategic outcomes for the US business.

CDO Magazine is pleased to welcome Karthikeyan Ilangovan, VP of Data Analytics and AI/ML at MODE Global, to our Global Board. Ilangovan leads enterprise-wide data transformation for one of North America’s largest logistics firms. A veteran of Neiman Marcus and JPMorgan Chase, he is a recognized thought leader in scaling data innovation and serves on several academic advisory boards.

Quantum computing leader IonQ has appointed Katie Arrington as Chief Information Officer. Arrington, who has held executive technology leadership roles at the Department of Defense and the Department of War, will oversee the protection and modernization of IonQ’s global enterprise systems. Her focus will be on strengthening cyber resilience and safeguarding digital assets as the company expands its global footprint.

Global healthcare leader Roche has tapped Ramesh Durvasula as Chief Data Officer, effective January 2026. Durvasula joins from Eli Lilly and Company, where he most recently served as SVP of R&D Technology. At Roche, he will spearhead a cross-organizational data strategy designed to unite science with technology, accelerating progress across medicines, diagnostics, and digital health.

Wells Fargo has named Faraz Shafiq as Head of AI Products and Solutions. Reporting to the Head of AI, Shafiq will oversee the vision and roadmap for enterprise-wide, AI-powered products. With a background spanning AWS, Verizon, and Google, Shafiq’s expertise in generative and agentic AI will be central to the bank’s strategy of using AI to transform operations and customer service.

JPMorganChase has transitioned Dr. Tiffany Perkins-Munn into the role of Head of Business Execution & Policy within its Open Banking business. Previously the Head of Data & Analytics for Connected Commerce, Perkins-Munn is a social-personality psychologist and data scientist. In her new role, she will move from an advisory D&A capacity to direct business responsibility and accountability for the success of the Open Banking unit.
