The Canadian Ministry of Finance has appointed Celio Oliveira as Chief Data Officer. Oliveira, a recognized global leader in human-centered data science, is tasked with advancing the federal government’s evidence-based decision-making agenda. His work focuses on strengthening the policy and delivery foundations required for measurable public outcomes, complemented by his expertise in trustworthy AI governance and decision architecture.

Lionsgate has named Kathleen Grace as its inaugural Chief AI Officer. Reporting to CEO Jon Feltheimer, Grace will oversee the studio’s AI strategy, focusing on developing tools for filmmakers, driving operational efficiencies, and protecting intellectual property. Grace previously served as Chief Strategy Officer at Vermillio and has a deep background in digital studio leadership and creator-focused AI ecosystems.

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has appointed Andy Ritter as Chief Information Security Officer. Ritter, who previously served as Deputy and Acting CISO, will lead statewide efforts to strengthen cyber resilience and maintain a consistent security posture across government agencies. With over 30 years of experience, he will oversee enterprise risk management and ensure the secure delivery of public services.

BAE Systems, Inc. has appointed Mona Bates as Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Digital Officer. Bates joins the senior leadership team to lead the company’s technology and digital strategies, aligning investments with evolving business needs. Formerly the Chief Digital Officer at Collins Aerospace, she will focus on leveraging emerging technologies like AI and advanced analytics to unlock new capabilities.

BayCare has promoted Robert Carvajal to Chief Information Security Officer. Carvajal, who previously led the health system’s security and threat management division, will now oversee the enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy. His role is critical in supporting patient safety and digital health initiatives while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and NIST frameworks across the continuum of care.
