The Hartford Appoints Jason Loveland as Chief AI and Analytics Officer

Jason Loveland, The Hartford Chief AI and Analytics Officer

Property and casualty insurance provider The Hartford has appointed Jason Loveland as Chief AI and Analytics Officer. Loveland will drive a unified data science, analytics, and AI strategy that enables scalable, secure, and ethical AI across the enterprise.

Before joining The Hartford, Loveland held multiple leadership roles at Nike, most recently as Vice President of Enterprise AI/ML Engineering. He previously served as Head of AI and Machine Learning Engineering at Nike, Director of Engineering and Architecture at ESPN, and Principal Engineer at Lockheed Martin.

In his LinkedIn post, Loveland described The Hartford as having “an incredible team and a bold vision: to lead the insurance industry in AI implementation.” He said his focus will be on driving a unified data science, analytics, and AI strategy that delivers real business value through scalable, secure, and ethical AI solutions.

“This is an opportunity to apply AI at scale in a highly regulated industry with decades of rich, structured and unstructured data. The focus is on delivering AI and Analytics for underwriting, claims, and customer service. We’re in a race to build the strongest AI moat in the industry with urgency, innovation, and relentless execution,” Loveland added.
