Manoj Bohra, State Street Chief Data and AI Officer
Financial services firm State Street has named Manoj Bohra as Chief Data and AI Officer, where he will lead the organization’s global strategy for data, AI, and advanced analytics. Bohra is responsible for building enterprise platforms and capabilities that support trusted, scalable AI and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
According to State Street Chief Operating Officer Mostapha Tahiri, Bohra will help advance the firm’s enterprise data and AI strategy while strengthening its approach to trusted and responsible AI. His work will also focus on embedding data-driven capabilities across the firm’s platforms, processes, and client solutions as the organization continues to scale its use of data and AI.
Bohra brings more than two decades of experience leading enterprise data and AI transformations across the technology and financial sectors. Prior to joining State Street, he served as Managing Director at Google Cloud, where he worked with C-suite leaders at major financial institutions on large-scale data modernization and AI initiatives, including designing cloud-native data platforms and implementing enterprise MLOps frameworks.
Earlier in his career, Bohra spent more than 20 years at Bank of America in senior leadership roles focused on enterprise data platforms, AI and machine learning infrastructure, and cloud transformation. During that time, he helped architect and scale one of the industry’s largest AI and data science platforms while leading global teams responsible for critical data and analytics capabilities.
“State Street operates at a scale that is truly unique in global finance, and I’m honored to lead our charge in transforming the industry through the power of data and artificial intelligence,” Bohra said in a LinkedIn post announcing his appointment.
