SEI Appoints William Coffey as Chief Data Officer

William Coffey, SEI Chief Data Officer

SEI has appointed William Coffey as Chief Data Officer (CDO), strengthening the company’s data leadership as it advances its enterprise data strategy and AI initiatives.

In the role, Coffey will lead SEI’s enterprise data strategy and oversee the development of a unified data and AI framework. Reporting to Chief Technology Officer Zach Womack, he will support efforts to activate the company’s data assets while helping ensure strong governance and security foundations.

Coffey brings experience across technology, operations, data, and risk leadership. Most recently, he served as Chief Risk and Data Officer at AKUVO. He previously held senior leadership roles at WSFS Bank and Vanguard, where he worked across data strategy, risk management, and cybersecurity.

“My focus will be on strengthening SEI’s unified data and AI framework, activating the value of our data assets, and ensuring the governance, security, and accountability needed to support both internal transformation and future client-facing opportunities,” Coffey said in a LinkedIn post.
