Angie Lamarsh, Royal Bank of Canada VP, Data & AI Strategy in Commercial Banking
Royal Bank of Canada has promoted Angie Lamarsh to Vice President, Data & AI Strategy in Commercial Banking, marking a new chapter in her tenure with the organization. In this role, Lamarsh will lead a newly integrated team focused on building data products and AI solutions aimed at unlocking value for both clients and internal teams. Her mandate centers on leveraging data-driven insights and collaboration to deliver practical, high-impact outcomes across commercial banking.
Lamarsh most recently served as Head of Sustainability, Personal and Commercial Banking at RBC. Prior to that, she was Senior Director and Head of Climate Transformation within the same division, where she led initiatives supporting the bank’s sustainability and climate strategy.
Before joining RBC, Lamarsh spent over a decade at HSBC, where she held several roles of increasing responsibility, including Head of Sustainable Finance, Commercial Banking; Director, Large Corporate; Analyst, Large Corporate; and Executive Management Analyst. Her experience spans sustainable finance, corporate banking, and strategic transformation.
Reflecting on her new role, Lamarsh emphasized the opportunity to collaborate and advance AI-driven impact, stating, “What excites me most is the opportunity to work alongside forward-thinking leaders across RBC and beyond.
