Pfizer has promoted Jeremy Forman to Chief AI, Data, & Analytics Officer, according to his LinkedIn update. Forman will focus on integrating AI and data excellence across Pfizer’s enterprise to drive value, speed, and improved outcomes for patients worldwide.

In sharing the news, Forman highlighted the dual focus of his new role on both technological innovation and organizational culture: “My focus will be on how we integrate AI and data excellence across our entire enterprise to drive value, speed, and better outcomes for the millions of people we serve. And while technology is a critical enabler, this work is equally about the culture, strategy, and systems that empower us to deliver breakthroughs that change patients’ lives.”

Forman was most recently Vice President of Global R&D AI, Data, and Analytics at Pfizer, a role he held since March 2024. In that position, he focused on building responsible and scalable AI and data cultures and products to support drug discovery, drug development, decision intelligence, and operational efficiency.

Prior to joining Pfizer, Forman served as Executive Director of AI & Data Strategy, Science, & Platforms at Seagen. Earlier in his career, he spent more than seven years at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he held senior leadership roles including Director of Enterprise Architecture, Global Data & Analytics, and Chief Enterprise Architect. He also held multiple enterprise architecture leadership positions at Oracle and began his career in technical and systems roles at Los Alamos National Laboratory and the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

In addition to his industry leadership, Forman has served as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Business Analytics at the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business since 2022, teaching data leadership, data strategy, and the ethical and responsible use of data.
