Anshu Bhardwaj, PayPal Chief AI Transformation & Simplification Officer
PayPal has promoted Anshu Bhardwaj to Chief AI Transformation & Simplification Officer to drive the company’s enterprise-wide AI agenda and support its efforts to simplify operations across the organization.
In this role, Bhardwaj will focus on defining and executing an AI strategy anchored in high-impact use cases and measurable value creation, with an emphasis on enabling faster execution and reducing unnecessary complexity across teams.
Bhardwaj most recently served as Senior Vice President of Engineering for Checkout, Wallets, and Global Products at PayPal. Prior to this, she led Global Solutions Engineering, where her team developed AI-native solutions and modernized checkout experiences.
She has also held multiple leadership roles at Walmart, including SVP and COO of Walmart Global Tech and Founder and CEO of Walmart Commerce Technologies. Additionally, she served as Chief Product Officer for Sam’s Club, where she led the development of the Scan & Go experience.
