Manulife has promoted Harshad Rane to Vice President, Head of AI, Global Operations. In this role, he will lead the company’s AI strategy and transformation agenda across its Global Operations organization, with a focus on scaling responsible AI and embedding AI into operational workflows.

Rane will be responsible for shaping the company’s global operations AI roadmap, governance, and responsible AI practices across areas such as contact centers, servicing, claims, underwriting, procurement, and back-office automation.

Before stepping into the role, Rane served as AVP, Global Customer AI Solutions at Manulife, where he led the development and deployment of enterprise AI capabilities across customer journeys, contact centers, and digital servicing channels. His earlier experience includes leadership roles at BMO, CIBC, and Capgemini, focused on analytics, digital banking, lending transformation, payments, and enterprise technology initiatives.
