Hachette Book Group Promotes Dan Levy Chief Data Officer

Hachette Book Group, a U.S. general-interest book publisher, has promoted Dan Levy Senior Vice President and Chief Data Officer. Levy has been with HBG for nearly five years and most recently served as Vice President, Data Intelligence Group.

Levy’s expanded remit covers data, business intelligence, and reporting across Hachette Book Group, Hachette UK, and its subsidiaries. He will lead the Group Data Strategy and join the executive IT leadership team.

Prior to this, Levy served as Vice President of Strategic Technology and Executive Director of Enterprise Resource Planning at HBG. He previously served as Chief Information Officer at Workman Publishing from 2018 to 2022.

In Hachette Book Group’s announcement, Levy said, “I am excited to take on this new global role at Hachette and am passionate about creating best-in-class services and bringing teams together around a cohesive Data, BI and Reporting strategy.”
