Eaton has expanded the role of Ross Schalmo, who now serves as Vice President, Chief Data & AI Officer. Schalmo steps into the role after serving as Vice President and Chief Data Officer since May 2022. In that position, he led the company’s digitalization transformation through an enterprise data and AI strategy, including the establishment of a global data governance program and the implementation of Eaton’s first cloud-based data lakehouse.

His work has focused on advancing supply chain resiliency, sustainability initiatives, and fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.

Prior to joining Eaton, Schalmo spent more than a decade with General Electric, where he held several leadership roles, most recently as Vice President of Enterprise Application Architecture. His experience there included leading cloud transformation efforts, enabling self-service data capabilities, and supporting enterprise-wide data initiatives.

He also holds a position on the CDO Magazine Global Board, showcasing his contributions to the field of data.
