Capital One has promoted Abhishek Ghosh Vice President of Software Engineering – External Data. In the role, he leads the company’s external data function, overseeing data sharing strategies designed to accelerate data flow, support Capital One’s credit objectives, and create connected experiences for vendors and internal customers.

Prior to the promotion, Ghosh served as Senior Director of Software Engineering – Head of Data Observability, where he led the development of data observability capabilities to help detect, visualize, and remediate data governance issues across Capital One’s data ecosystem. During his nearly 15 years with the company, he has also held leadership roles spanning customer data sharing, customer privacy, data governance, external data sharing, customer core, API gateway, and data lifecycle management.

Reflecting on the promotion, Ghosh thanked Capital One’s enterprise data leaders, mentors, colleagues, and team for their guidance and support throughout his career. “I’m excited to step into this new role and take on the challenges ahead. Here’s to the next chapter!” he wrote in a LinkedIn post.
