Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has named Sravan Kasarla as Senior Vice President, Global Head of Data and Analytics, where he will lead the company’s global data and analytics function.

In the role, Kasarla will oversee efforts to advance BHSI’s data ecosystem, including defining and executing a data and analytics strategy, modernizing data architecture, advancing engineering practices, and establishing master data management foundations to support the company’s growth and global expansion.

Kasarla joins BHSI from Commonwealth Financial Network, where he served as Chief Data Officer and Head of Data Strategy, Engineering & Management. There, he led the enterprise data strategy, engineering, and integration function and helped develop capabilities in areas including master data management, data quality management, and data products.

Prior to Commonwealth Financial Network, Kasarla was Chief Data Officer at Thrivent and served as Head of Data Architecture and Strategy at Fidelity Investments. Earlier in his career, he held technology, architecture, and information management leadership roles at MassMutual, GE, Liberty Mutual Insurance, and PC Connection. He holds a position on the CDO Magazine Global Board, showcasing his contributions to the field of data.
