ServiceNow launched AI Workflow Factory on October 6 to help enterprises use AI agents to identify, build and continuously improve business workflows, the company announced at its World Forum in Mumbai, according to a company release.
The platform is globally available and is designed to connect AI agents, enterprise workflows and existing applications.
The offering combines process mining, AI-assisted development and workflow execution, while ServiceNow’s AI Control Tower governs the workflows, decisions and agent actions involved.
AI Workflow Factory is designed to identify opportunities for process improvement, build new workflows and deploy them across business units. AI agents can then continue refining those workflows against defined business outcomes, according to ServiceNow.
For chief data officers (CDOs), this shift is important, as AI agents increasingly operate across enterprise applications and data.
ServiceNow said its AI Control Tower provides a governed view of AI assets and agent activity. Through Action Fabric, the company also said the platform can extend its AI governance model to third-party AI agents and tools.
As organizations connect AI agents to more business processes, data access, workflow decisions, agent actions and business outcomes all become part of the governance chain.
ServiceNow said AI Workflow Factory brings AI development and workflow execution under one governance model and audit trail. The company also highlighted visibility and control as important for regulated industries.
For CDOs, this reinforces the need for AI governance frameworks that define how AI systems interact with enterprise data and operational processes.
