Intel and Google Cloud have expanded their multi-year strategic collaboration to support Intel’s enterprise-wide AI transformation through Gemini Enterprise, agentic workflows, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
Intel plans to integrate Gemini-powered generative AI across its global workforce, targeting engineering, supply chain, and corporate operations. Google Cloud will also supplement Intel’s semiconductor development environment with infrastructure and custom AI agents designed to shorten chip-design cycles and improve coordination across business functions, according to Intel’s announcement.
Scaling AI Agents Across Intel
The expanded collaboration is intended to move Intel beyond isolated AI pilots and introduce generative and agentic AI into established enterprise workflows.
Intel will adopt the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, enabling business teams to build and operate tailored line-of-business agents. These systems will automate core processes and support decisions using enterprise data.
Engineering teams will gain dedicated agentic coding assistance and automation based on Gemini’s reasoning capabilities. The tools are intended to streamline development pipelines and execute complex, multi-step software workflows.
“As part of our AI-powered transformation, we are committed to offering our employees tools that help them move with greater speed, agility, and efficiency,” said Cindy Stoddard, senior vice president and chief information officer, Intel. “Our work with Google Cloud allows us to provide our employees with a central hub to build and deploy agents through Gemini Enterprise and scale silicon development with elastic cloud infrastructure. This collaboration gives Intel the AI tools and workflows needed to help reinvent its operations and execute business objectives more quickly.”
Intel is also exploring Google Cloud-powered agents for marketing and communications. Early pilots can identify relevant subject matter experts, develop executive-ready messaging, and automatically produce supporting content for multiple communication channels.
Cloud Infrastructure Supports Chip Development
The collaboration extends beyond employee productivity and business-process automation. Intel is using Google Cloud infrastructure to support semiconductor simulations and other developer workloads.
Google Cloud will augment Intel’s existing on-premises computing environment rather than replace it. Intel can extend its local computing capacity to Google Cloud C4 and N4 instances, allowing engineering teams to run multiple high-performance computing simulations concurrently.
That additional capacity is intended to accelerate silicon-development cycles by giving teams elastic computing resources for demanding simulation workloads.

Why It Matters
The collaboration brings together two dimensions of enterprise AI adoption: automating knowledge-based workflows and expanding the infrastructure available for compute-intensive engineering.
For Intel, Gemini Enterprise provides a centralized environment for developing and deploying agents across business functions. The same partnership gives its semiconductor teams access to cloud capacity for high-performance simulations, connecting corporate automation with the company’s core chip-development work.
The initiative also reflects a broader shift from stand-alone generative AI tools toward agents designed to complete multi-stage tasks across enterprise systems. However, Intel did not disclose a deployment timeline, investment value, or performance targets in the announcement.
